Local 600 and ICG Magazine hosted a booth and panel at this year's Cine Gear Expo Los Angeles held at Universal Studios. Our thanks to all the members, prospective members, and trade show attendees who stopped by the booth to chat with our Business Reps, staff from Member Services, and those who swung by to pick up swag, including the latest June/July issue of ICG Magazine

The panel dealt with virtual environments, large and small, and their ability to open new creative options for shaping and blending light from the virtual world to augment the more traditional real-world approaches to set lighting. Our panelists discussed the techniques and technology currently being use on set to leverage the merger of ray-traced and real to efficiently achieve their artistic looks and address situations that would require larger scale solutions in the physical world.
