Noah Wyle Named ICG Publicists' Television Showperson of the Year
HOLLYWOOD – The Publicists of the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG), IATSE Local 600, have selected acclaimed actor and producer Noah Wyle as the recipient of its 2026 Television Showperson of the Year Award.
The honor will be presented to Wyle during the 63rd annual ICG Publicists Awards luncheon on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The Television Showperson of the Year award recognizes professional impact, artistic excellence and special spirit defined as showmanship, displayed by Wyle most recently in the esteemed Warner Bros. Television/HBO Max medical drama "The Pitt," for which he is an executive producer, co-writer, director and star.
Wyle was honored as both actor and producer when “The Pitt” swept the top awards for lead male actor and drama series at the 2025 Primetime Emmys®, 2026 Golden Globes and 2026 Critics Choice Awards. Wyle also received two 2026 Actors Awards nominations, for both his individual work as well as the full cast achievement.
Wyle first became a household name through his iconic portrayal of Dr. John Carter on the seminal NBC series “ER.” During his tenure, he became the show's longest-serving cast member, appearing in 254 episodes and earning five consecutive Emmy® Award nominations and three Golden Globe Award nominations. Wyle advocates for healthcare reform and safer working conditions for frontline nurses, and is a dedicated union member, contributing to educational resources for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.
Past recipients of the Television Showperson of the Year Award include small screen icons Kathy Bates, Norman Lear, Quinta Brunson, Shonda Rhimes and Bob Hope.
