Union members and state leaders gathered at IBEW Local 369 in Louisville to show their support for BlueOval SK workers who are fighting for a fair contract.

The rally, part of the AFL-CIO's nationwide "It's Better in a Union" tour, highlighted workers' demands for job security and fair wages.

"I want to provide for my family and have a good life," said Amber Levay, a production operator at BlueOval SK, echoing the sentiments of many workers in the crowd.

Union members also raised concerns about proper personal protective equipment and recent federal budget proposals, which they fear could jeopardize thousands of manufacturing jobs in Kentucky.

"We would like a fair contract, fair wages, and safety," said Amanda East, an equality operator at BlueOval SK.

The rally coincided with the conclusion of the first Kentucky Women's Union Summit, showcasing the vital role women play in the labor movement.
