The cinematographers of "Sicario," "Carol," "Bridge of Spies," "The Revenant" and "Mad Max: Fury Road" were nominated Wednesday morning for the 30th American Society of Cinematographers Awards for Outstanding Achievement.

Milton L. Keslow, co-founder of General Camera, a leading supplier of motion picture equipment for over 30 years, died on 12/29/2015. He was 80 years old.

Hungarian-born cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, winner of an Oscar for his achievements on “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and a nominee for “The Deer Hunter,” “The River” (1984) and the “The Black Dahlia” (2006), has died at 85.

The cinematography world lost a great talent today. Vilmos’ genius was not only in his images, but in his sense of duty to honest storytelling.

Murray Weissman, a well-regarded Hollywood publicist and awards consultant, died Monday of complications from pancreatic cancer at his Los Angeles home. He was 90.

Influential cinematographer and social documentarian Haskell Wexler, who won Oscars for his work in both arenas, has died. He was 93.
