Illinois State Tax Credits for Film Production Extended Through 2026
05 August 2019Local 600 and IATSE representatives were on hand as Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed legislation extending state tax credits for film production through 2026. The move is expected to help attract more industry jobs and spending.
“Whenever anybody’s looking at a new site, a new opportunity in this industry, it’s incumbent upon us to do everything we can to work with them to help them develop their opportunity because … for me it’s all about creating jobs and opportunity for the people of Illinois,” Pritzker said at a recent bill-signing event
Among those attending the signing were Local 600 Business Rep Justin Conway, IATSE Local 476 President Bradley Matthys, Local 476 Business Agent Mark Hogan and Chicago SAG-AFTRA Executive Director Eric Chaudron.
