VANCOUVER, BC – On February 5, the IATSE issued a charter to the newly-formed Arts and Cultural Workers Union (ACWU), IATSE Local B-778.  Charter members of the new Local had already established the Vancouver Artists Labour Union Co-operative (VALU CO-OP), an innovative workers’ co-operative that facilitates fair, flexible, secure, and democratic employment for artists.

JOKER (Warner Bros. Pictures) won the top honors for the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Motion Pictures Publicity Campaign, presented by Director Paul Feig (Ghostbusters). The International Cinematographers Guild Publicists (ICG, IATSE Local 600) will honor veteran publicist Sheryl Main with the esteemed Henri Bollinger Award at the 57th Annual ICG Publicists Awards Luncheon.

The International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) has announced its final list of nominations for the 57th Annual ICG Publicists Awards, honoring active members working on motion pictures and in television, whose achievements in publicity and promotion are deemed outstanding. Winners will be revealed at a ceremony Friday, February 7, 2020 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. 

The award honors active members working on motion pictures whose achievements in publicity and promotion during the previous calendar year are deemed outstanding.

Ava DuVernay, award-winning writer, director and producer, is set to receive the prestigious Television Showman of the Year from the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists, honoring her prolific career as a visionary television producer.

Don Mischer, award-winning producer and director, has been named the recipient of the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists, honoring his prolific career as an internationally acclaimed producer and director of television and live events.

The ICG Publicists have announced the nominees for the Maxwell Weinberg Award for Television Publicity Campaign to be presented at the 57th Annual ICG Publicists Awards.

The International Cinematographers Guild Scholarship Fund is offering ten $5,000 educational scholarships for Local 600 members in good standing, and their eligible children, step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren and dependents where legal guardianship applies.
