Black Lives Matter Backs Amazon Union Push in Alabama

NEW YORK -- Organizers trying to form the first union at an Amazon warehouse are getting support from another big name: Black Lives Matter. The group plans to hold an event Saturday near the warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama, making it the latest high-profile supporter of the union push, which is the biggest in Amazon's nearly 30-year history.

Louisiana Awards First Grant for Entertainment Workforce Training

BATON ROUGE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — Two creative industry partners in Louisiana have received a $220,372 grant from the state. According to the state, The New Orleans Video Access Center (NOVAC) and the Local 478 of IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical State Employees, will share the grant from Louisiana’s new Entertainment Development Fund.

ICG Announces Emerging Cinematographers Awards Recipients

The International Cinematographers Guild (IATSE Local 600) announced 10 honorees for its annual Emerging Cinematographer Awards, which aim to spotlight promising cinematographers. Due to the pandemic, the 2020 honorees, as well as this year recipients, will be recognized during a virtual presentation this fall.
