UCLA Health/MPTF medical offices under renovation
- We are pleased to report that we are upgrading the health centers. The Toluca Lake office remodel is already underway, and the Bob Hope office will follow. The new 50,000 square foot Jack Skirball Health Center is under construction and on schedule to open in Calabasas in the summer of 2017.
Specialists now available in more locations
- During the past six months, physicians specializing in cardiology and gastroenterology have begun practicing in the Toluca Lake office, enabling more convenient and coordinated care for patients.
- More UCLA Health specialists will soon be located in the Burbank and Beverly Hills offices.
myUCLAhealthsimplifies patient access to information
- Since its launch in 2014, themyUCLAhealthpatient portal has empowered patients to become more directly involved in the management of their own health information and services. Thirty percent of UCLA Health patients who visit the five UCLA Health/MPTF offices have usedmyUCLAhealth. This is a very large percentage for a launch that occurred just six months ago, proving that the ease of online access is well suited to the often mobile lifestyle of entertainment industry workers.
- The secure and personalized online portal gives patients 24/7 access to view their health record, communicate with their medical team, schedule appointments, view referrals, see test results, request prescription refills and pay bills.

Text Message Appointment Reminders Now Available
- Patients may choose to skip the phone calls and receive their appointment reminders by text message. It’s quick, easy and convenient to view upcoming appointment details, confirm/cancel the appointment, and receive instructions on preparing for the visit. To sign up, patients may opt-in at the front desk at their next visit or anytime through theirmyUCLAhealthaccount.
Online scheduling now available
- UCLA/MPTF Primary Care offices are proud to offer direct appointment scheduling online throughmyUCLAhealthfor select appointments. Patients may take advantage of this easy service to view their doctor’s availability and make an appointment at their convenience.
UCLA Health/MPTF Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
- This newly formed council, made up of entertainment industry patients, their family members and UCLA Health and MPTF staff, is dedicated to strengthening the collaboration among patients, family members and the healthcare team.
- The goal of the council is to create a patient- and family-centered environment of care that promotes the best possible medical and emotional outcomes. Advocacy, awareness and collaborative discussions will promote improved relationships, new programs and provide feedback about current services.
